This unit identifies the training and development required in order that the Student can demonstrate that they are competent in being able to: Carry out the assembly of a range of electronic components such as resistors (fixed and variable), capacitors (fixed and variable), diodes, transistors and other semiconductor devices, integrated circuits (analogue and digital), miniature transformers, switches, indicators, wire links and a range of connectors, spacers and brackets to form various types of circuits.

This unit develops the skills and knowledge required to carry out hand fitting activities safely and effectively. Learners will prepare for tasks by obtaining and interpreting relevant information, drawings, and documentation while following health and safety requirements. They will use a range of hand tools and powered equipment to complete practical tasks using various materials to specification. Learners will also complete SOPs and knowledge-based assessments to demonstrate their understanding.

This unit identifies the training and development required in order that the student can demonstrate that they are competent in being able to carry out turning operations on machines such as centre lathe using a range of work holding devices.

The law requires that any individual wishing to erect, alter or dismantle scaffolding must be able to prove their competency. The industry-wide accepted proof of competency for operatives is to hold a CISRS Scaffold card. Upon completion of this 1 day course, you will receive a CISRS Scaffolders Card. Valid for 5 years.

The 1 day course is for operatives who carry out onsite Labouring duties in support of Scaffolding operations. The holder of a CISRS Trainee Scaffolder or CISRS Scaffolding labourer card will have current Health and Safety knowledge and the required skills to carry out their duties in a safe manner.

The 10-day Part 2 course is the second stage of the required CISRS training for achieving a Scaffolder card. It can only be undertaken once Part 1 has been successfully completed and a minimum of six months’ relevant on-site experience has been gained. Learners are eligible to apply for a second CISRS Trainee card if necessary.

The BTEC Level 4 HNC Qualification in Engineering is a higher-level programme aimed at developing a greater understanding and technical capability of engineering processes. We provide employees with more than just a qualification. We develop both their industry skills and knowledge for immediate application in the workplace which maximises return on investment. Candidates will be required to attend Training 2000 one day a week. You can choose either a Tuesday or Friday once booked.
