Basic Scaffold Inspection Course
This course is intended for CISRS Scaffold card holders or for inspection card renewals, and also for those responsible for inspecting and checking basic scaffolds for safe use, signing certificates and registers in accordance with statutory regulations. You should have awareness and experience of scaffolding structures, coming from time spent in your individual industry sector. You’ll be required to confirm this experience by producing a CV. - Overview of SG4 Fall Arrest Equipment

- Mobile, static and loading towers
- Birdcage scaffolds
- Beams and bridging beams
- Various types of system scaffolding
- How to carry out a scaffolding inspection
- Scaffold tagging systems

- COTS - Claim £150 to help pay for a CISRS Operatives Training Scheme (COTS) course.
- Newly Qualified CISRS Scaffolder - Claim £200 for operatives qualifying for their first CISRS Scaffolder Card.
- Newly Qualified CISRS Advanced Scaffolder - Claim £250 for operatives qualifying for their first CISRS Advanced Scaffolder Card.
- Newly Qualified CISRS Supervisor - Claim £500 for operatives qualifying for their first CISRS Supervisor Scaffolder Card.
- CISRS Systems Scaffold Product Training Scheme (SSPTS) Endorsement - Claim £175 for operatives completing a CISRS SSPTS course and getting the system endorsement on their CISRS card.
- CISRS Scaffold Inspection Training Scheme (SITS) - Claim £175 for operatives completing a CISRS SITS course and receiving an inspection card.
Prerequisites
Delegate must passed a CITB HS&E Test (or accepted exemption). Valid for 2 years.

CISRS would expect delegates to have awareness and experience of scaffolding structures, which would have come from time spent in their individual industry sector e.g. construction, engineering, manufacturing, offshore etc. This experience would be required to be confirmed by the production of a CV with contactable references and/or certificates. Examples of acceptable experience are:
Delegate holds current CISRS Scaffolder/Advanced Card
Delegate has previously attended a scaffold appreciation/awareness course.
Delegate has previously attended a Scaffold Inspection course.
You must have a good understanding of spoken and written English
Current CCNSG Passport to Safety
NEBOSH Construction certificate (taken within 23 months)
Current Offshore Survival certificate/Card
FAS Safe Pass
SMSTS (taken within 23 months)
SSSTS (taken within 23 months).
