CISRS New Entrant Constructions Operatives Training Scheme (COTS)
The 1 day course is for operatives who carry out onsite Labouring duties in support of Scaffolding operations. The holder of a CISRS Trainee Scaffolder or CISRS Scaffolding labourer card will have current Health and Safety knowledge and the required skills to carry out their duties in a safe manner.
Description
Scaffolding Labourers are only allowed to work from a safe secure position i.e ground, building floor/fully protected roof or a fully completed scaffold platform.
Scaffolding Labourers are not permitted to erect, alter or dismantle scaffolding.
Training 2000 will apply for CISRS scaffolding cards on behalf of delegates upon course completion (where applicable). If the required information is not received within six months of the course date, delegates must apply directly to CISRS for their card.
CISRS Scaffolding Labourer Cards are valid for 5 years.

Prerequisites
To be issued with a Scaffolding Labourers Card, the operative must have passed a CITB HS&E test within 2 years of the COTS course taking place (or accepted exemption).
