The Scaffolding NVQ Level 2 Portfolio day must be completed to achieve a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Accessing Operations and Rigging - Scaffolding qualification. The training has been developed for delivery in a working environment and delegates must therefore be employed to study this qualification. This qualification enables delegates to work in Accessing Operations and Rigging within the construction industry by demonstrating competence in a real workplace environment. Delegates will learn the basic principles of Hydraulics Systems/ Mechanical devices Removing fitting and adjusting. This course covers: • Bearings: Recognise defects • Remove a range of plain, ball and roller bearings • Select and correctly fit a range of bearings • Belt and Chain drive mechanisms • Shafts and couplings including alignment • Drive Keys • Clutches and gear systems

The Part 2 course is the second part of the required CISRS training for the Scaffolder card. Part 2 can only be accessed when Part 1 has been successfully completed, and 6 months experience has been gained following the Part 1 course. A second Trainee card can be applied for.

The law requires that any individual wishing to erect, alter or dismantle scaffolding must be able to prove their competency. The industry-wide accepted proof of competency for operatives is to hold a CISRS Scaffold card. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a CISRS Scaffolders Card. Valid for 5 years.
